Biker Found This Dog Chained To A Bridge With A Note

At 3 AM, I stopped my Harley on an old bridge to check a noise and heard soft whimpering. Chained to a beam was a Golden Retriever—thin, weak, with a tumor the size of a softball hanging from her belly. Someone had left a blanket, water, a worn stuffed duck…and a note: “I can’t afford to put her down. Please don’t let her suffer.”

But tucked into her collar was a second note—child’s handwriting in purple crayon—with $7.43 in coins:
“Please save Daisy. She’s all I have left. Daddy says she has to die but I know angels ride motorcycles. Please don’t let her die alone. Love, Madison, age 7.”

I sat on the cold concrete and cried. My brother was dying of cancer. I couldn’t save him—but I could save Daisy. I called my vet and paid for surgery. Daisy survived, gaining months she wouldn’t have had.

When I returned her to Madison and her father, they wept. That little girl’s faith—that angels ride motorcycles—had come true. Daisy became healthy enough to play again, Madison started an animal rescue fund called “Daisy’s Angels,” and I found a new family.

Sometimes $7.43 and a prayer really are enough.
